Sneaker Care Ecommerce

Website Design

Forcefield was an up and coming shoecare brand that was looking to make their space in the sneakerhead shoecare market alongside cult favorites like CREP Protect. A brand child of Implus, being a larger house of brands, posed a challenge in creating an authentic brand that the scene respected. Although they would sell the product alongside their competitors in stores like Foot Locker and Finish Line, the website needed to stand alongside their competitors too.

I worked with the Forcefield brand manager to develop a much lighter, cleaner look for the site than existed on the packaging. Along with the existing font used in the packaging, I added a trendy brush font to the mix, and balanced large white space areas with darker sneaker themed textures. We worked together to create a library of lifestyle product images to ensure that the website included lots of lifestyle type imagery to showcase the sneakerhead lifestyle.

Since the product library was small, only one product category page was needed, making the sitemap of the site fairly concise. We added a page for blog posts to improve SEO both at launch and also overtime, and an Ambassador page to further legitimize and add cool points to the brand. Instead of just stacking the desktop experience on the shop pages, the mobile product detail pages were specially designed to make shopping on smaller devices fast and simple. Customer reviews were synced with Bazaarvoice, so that all of the existing reviews from Amazon could populate on the website. The final product was a simple and clean Sitecore powered ecomm site that laid the foundation for a successful shopping experience.
